Mid-winter is the time for pruning and planting in New Orleans community gardens. There are many ways to get involved. The planting season will last for another month, so if you are

interisted in replacing the fruit trees and other plants you have lost this is the time.
There are many outlets for excersizing your green thumb in New Orleans. Take a look at the large clusters of
ripe grapefruit. They are ready to pick this week. I took a trip out to the

garden and had a few of these myself. They are amazing, so if you would like to get a taste move fast. Or you can leave a message or comment and I can pick a few for you. Really.
Also... We are looking to partner with a local nursery that will be

willing to make moves for the community gardens. So if you have a lead, or would like to donate a tree or two...
